Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana scored twice for Stade Rennes as newly promoted Clermont fell short to a thumping 6-0 defeat in the French Ligue 1.
Goals from Jonas Martin and Martin Terrier in the 32nd and 36th minutes respectively ensured Stade Rennes in a comfortable 2-0 lead before halftime.
Kamaldeen Sulemana tripled the lead for the hosts with a sublime finish just ten minutes into the second half.
Two minutes after, the 19-year old Ghanaian winger grabbed his second of the night in quick succession and his third of the season.
French forward Gaetan Laborde grabbed his fourth league goal of the season just four minutes after the hour mark to make it 5-0 Rennes.
As if that was all, Flavien Tait ensured that Clermont were dead and buried with his goal which changed the scoreline to 6-0.
Kamaldeen after making his BlackStars debut in 2020, is yet to score his first ever goal for the senior national Ghana football team.
