Ex-Ghana youth winger Ishmael Yartey highlighted his durability after netting his 4th goal of the season for FC Haka when they drew 1-1 with Lahti FC in the Finnish Veikkausliiga on Saturday.
The former SL Benfica youth attacker broke free into the box and sliced the ball in between the legs of Joona Tiainen to level the scoring for the host.
Nigerian international Geoffrey Charles Chinedu had raced the visitors into a 2nd-minute lead but Yartey responded well for Haka by converting a Donaldo Acka assist into a goal 11 minutes from the break.
Prior to his scoring form for Haka on Saturday afternoon, the 2007 Ghana U17 star had netted thrice in 18 games.
Togolese player Henri Eninful was sent off on the 42nd-minute mark for the visitors.
The point brings Haka’s tally for the season to 26 after 24 games which keeps them in 10th place on the 12-team log, seven clear of 11th placed Oulu with only the bottom club billed to be relegated whilst the 11th placed goes into a playoff at the end of the season to retain their top flight status.
