Members of the University of Education-Winneba (UEW-Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports) Department have donated items to the Ghana National Wheelchair Basketball Team.

The short event took place earlier today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra on the itinerary of the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Playoffs at the same venue.

Representatives from the Level 400 Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching Program were present to donate the items-packs of water, non alcoholic beverages, shirts and a basketball-to the Wheelchair Basketball team.

Head Coach of Ghana’s Wheelchair Basketball Team Elvis Alupui and a handful of players received the items and thanked the prospective Sports Administrators and Coaches for the kind gesture.

In the aftermath of the ceremony, a wheelchair basketball exhibition game was played out and had Team Blue lose 8-14 to Team Yellow.

After a blistering 4-0 start, Team Blue got pegged back with six straight points from Team Yellow. Team Blue tied the game before half time at 6-6. Team Yellow scored eight more points to take six point win.
