Hasaacas Ladies vs ASFAR – One step to the final

Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies lock horns with Morocco’s ASFAR as the maiden edition of the TotalEnergies Women’s CAF Champions League, Egypt 2021 reaches its semifinal stage.

The first semifinal kicks off at 16:00 local time (14:00 GMT) at Al Salam Stadium, Cairo.

Match Card

Date: 15 November 2021

Time: 16:00 Cairo time (14:00 GMT)

Venue: Al Salam Stadium, Cairo

Match: Hasaacas Ladies (Ghana) v ASFAR (Morocco)

Hasaacas Ladies – Confidence is the key

The Ghanaians proved that winning WAFU-B qualifiers was not a coincidence, as they dominated Group A winning two games and drawing one to go on top. Now they need one more win to set a date in the “grand finale” as they are eyeing the maiden Women’s Champions League title.

And once again they will rely on their superstar Evelyn Bado. The 19-years-old was voted best player of the group stage after bagging four goals and two “woman of the match” awards in the process.

What they said

“ASFAR is a very good team, they play very well but we play better. We respect them as an opponent, but we can achieve the victory,” Yussif Basigi, Coach.

ASFAR players celebrating

ASFAR – Stop celebrations, focus!

The Moroccans celebrated wildly after securing their semifinal spot with a barren stalemate in their last group stage game.

A win, a defeat and a draw sent ASFAR to the semis, but now they will stop celebrating and focus on the vital step towards the final. To do so, they have weapons like Fatma Tagnaouti, Sanaa Mssoudi and the skipper Ghizalane Chebbak.

What they said

“They play differently – high ball, different than North Africa but we’ve studied them, and we are ready for them,” Abdallah Haidamou, Coach.
