Brimah grabs eight rebounds as Filou Oostende dominates Malaga to clinch win

Ghana Center Amida Brimah was in action for Filou Oostende in the latest Round of 16 Games played in the FIBA Basketball Champions League games.

Oostende clinched its first win at the Round of 16 stage thanks to an 86-68 win over Spain’s Unicaja Malaga; it was must win game for Belgian side Filou after losing all two previous games; its loss against Ukrainian side Prometey has been voided since Prometey withdrew from competing. Brimah played 15:38 minutes and registered three points, eight rebounds and two blocks; he led the game in the rebounds category with seven coming on the defensive end.

The former Indiana Pacers man scored one of three field goal attempts and converted one of two free throws in the game. Brimah entered the game averaging 10.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks; Teammate Levi Randolph topped the scorers chart with 35 points.

The team needs another win over UBanca Transilvania from Romania to have a strong chance of qualifying to the quarterfinals. The teams face off on Tuesday, March 22.
