Ghana are on course to host and win
the CAA Region ll Championship after dominating the track events in the day one of the competition
Team Ghana currently lead the medal table with17 gongs.
Ghana won eleven gold medals, two bronze medals and four silver medals in events like 800m, 1,500, 100m, 400m etc in day one of the event.
Burkina Faso are second on the table with 16 medals consisting of nine gold, five silver and two bronze.
Senegal are third with eight medals which includes two gold, four bronze and two silver.
Benin find themselves on the fourth position after winning three silver medals and five bronze medals.
Ivory Coast and Liberia follow in fifth and sixth position respectively with a medal haul of six and four.
The competition ends tomorrow and Ghana will be hoping to double their lead on the medal table as they seek to host and win the Championship.
