Samartex clinch Ghana Premier League ticket after 26 years in doldrums

Samartex qualified to the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 26 years on Sunday, 22 May 2022 with three matches to spare.

This was after playing a 0-0 draw at Swedru All Blacks ensures they will end the season as leaders in Zone II.

Samartex have amassed 61 points from the 27 matches and cannot be overtaken by closet challengers Ebusua Dwarfs.

The Timbers Giants will next play Sekondi Hasaacas before concluding with Future Stars and New Edubiase United.
