Ghanaian defender Jamal Amofa confident ahead of ADO Den Haag’s playoffs against Excelsior

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jamal Amofa remains confident of ADO Den Haag’s qualification chances ahead of the finals of the playoffs against Excelsior.

The 23-year-old has been a rock at the back in Den Haag’s campaign, making 39 appearances in the Eertse Divisie as the club is just two games away from earning promotion.

Ahead of the first leg of the playoffs on Tuesday, Amofa believes it’s time for ADO Den Haag to finish the season on a high.

“For the team, that is 100% a good end to this season. It has also been a special season for me. I’m off to a good start. After that it went a bit less, but the coaching change has done me very well. I have regained my confidence in my own position. I see myself growing weekly and I can enjoy that,” he told haagladenveotbal in an interview.

“Yes, I really liked the match against FC Eindhoven and I really wanted to reach that final. Now we can finish it off nicely as a team and I as a player.”
