Evelyn Badu scoops young and interclub player of year double at 2022 CAF Awards

Former Hasaacas Ladies star Evelyn Badu has been crowned both the CAF Women’s young player and the Inter Club Player of the Year at the 2022 CAF Awards in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday night.

The Black Princesses captain beat off competition from Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Andile Dlamini and South Africa defender Bambanani Mbanie to claim the young player gong before also seeing off former Hasaacas Ladies teammate, Doris Boaduwaa and Morocco’s Yasmine Zouhir, who plays for AS St Etienne to the interclub award.

Evelyn Badu was named the best player in the maiden edition of the  CAF Women’s Champions League held in Egypt last year.

The youngster netted five goals to also win the golden boot after leading the Ghanaian side to the final of the maiden edition of the Africa’s Women’s club premier tournament.
