Ghanaian defender Godfred Yeboah signs for Al Jolan Sports Club in Iraq

Ghanaian defender Godfred Agyemang Yeboah has joined Iraqi First Division side Al Jolan Sports Club ahead of the 2022-23 season, it can be confirmed.

The former Karela United captain completed his move on Wednesday after signing an initial one-year contract with the option to extend at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

The 24-year-old centre-back started training Al Jolan in the middle of August and has been impressive in the pre-season games he has played so far.

Yeboah has been unattached since leaving Karela in October 2021 when his contract run out.

Al Jolan are a newly-promoted side in the Iraqi second-tier and the aim going into the upcoming season will be maintain their status at the end of the season.

Yeboah will be facing compatriots Nuru Sulley and Prince Opoku Agyemang who have both signed for Duhok Sports Club in the Iraqi First Division.
