Millennium Marathon “Africa On The Run” 2016 to attract more countries from the continent.
At the launch ceremony of the 2016 Millennium Marathon “Africa on the run”
Present for the Ceremony was Hon Elvis Afriye Ankrah Minister of State at the Presidency, the minister of Youth and Sports, the Mayor of Accra, Hon. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, the UNDP Resident Coordinator, the President of the Ghana Red Cross, Ethiopian legend Haile Gebreselassie and the CEO & Founder of the Millennium marathon Amb. Ashim Morton.
The Ghana Red Cross is going to be part of this tear’s event and they have awarded Amb. Ashim Morton another ambassadorial role.
The Millennium Marathon comes off in Accra on 3rd September 2016.
The Mayor of Accra expects a double of the 17,000 runners and walkers who participated.
