Parvis Dornu – the rising photo journalist with big dreams

The multi-talented sports photo Journalist, who doubles as the Social Media Manager for the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is an IT Expert by profession and is gradually breaking ground in the photojournalism ecosystem in Ghana.

With his top-notch and breathtaking photo-taking skills, he has gained experience from covering world-class sporting events both locally and internationally.

During the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt, he was one of the accredited photojournalists who covered the event for team Ghana – the Black Stars.His images from the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff between Ghana and Nigeria in Kumasi and Abuja gained prominence on social and digital media.

He is one of the few journalists from Ghana accredited by CAF to cover the upcoming 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Morocco from the 2nd of July to the 28th, 2022.

Parvis Dornu – the photo journalist with big ambitions

He has carved a niche for himself and his hard working spirit and commitment in photojournalism in Ghana has earned him a prominence consideration continentally and globally.

He is the next big star in the country and beyond with regards to photojournalism that Africa and the rest of world must watch out for.

This is Parvis Dornu, the Senior Technical Officer in charge of Photography and Digital Innovation at the National Sports Authority in Ghana.
