Sports Minister backs Commey to beat Buckland to Commonwealth title

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, on behalf of the Government and people of Ghana extends a goodwill message to Richard ‘Azonto’ Commey, one of Ghana’s promising boxing talents ahead of the boxer’s Commonwealth Championship bout against Gary Buckland in London, U.K. this Saturday, July 12 2014.

In his message to the boxer, Hon. Ayariga wished Mr. Commey success and threw his weight behind the boxer to fly high the flag of Ghana on the international stage by winning the fight come tomorrow night.

“Ghanaians are rallying behind you, and I am optimistic that you will be victorious by knocking your opponent down,” the Hon. Minister added.

The Minister took the opportunity to commend the handlers of Richard Commey for a good job done in promoting the boxer and also urged them to ensure that he is well prepared physically, mentally and psychologically for the fight.

Finally, Hon. Mahama Ayariga is appealing to all Ghanaians to rally their support for Richard Commey to come victorious against his opponent.
