Dede Ayew’s Marseille go top in France

Black Stars player Andre Ayew played full minutes for Olympique Marseille in their home game against Rennes on Saturday.

The Ghanaian and his side recorded a 3-0 home win to go top of the French Ligue 1 table.

Andre-Pierre Gignac scored a brace in the second half of the game after both Olympique Marseille and Rennes failed to put the ball at the back of the net in the first half.

Romain Alessandrini added a third for home side Marseille very late on in the game as Marcelo Bielsa’s side secured all three points on the day.

Andre Ayew and his Marseille side lead the French Ligue 1 log with 13 points from 6 games and are set to stay top until Lille play Montpellier on Sunday.

A win for Lille will see them displace Olympique Marseille with 14 points.
