Reports: Olympics accept Awako $15k bid by Hearts of Oak

Accra Great Olympics FC have eventually accepted Hearts of Oak’s $15,000 offer for starman Gladson Awako, a report by Joysports states that the Ghana champions have signed their city rival’s talisman on a two-year deal.

“The Phobians will pay Great Olympics compensation to the tune of about $15,000. Awako scored 7 times in 30 games in the just ended season and also provided 6 assists,” it added.

“Awako won 4 man of the match awards and was twice voted player of the month. The former under 20 World Cup winner has reportedly left the camp of the Black Stars B to complete his medicals to seal the sensational switch,” the report ended.

After series of back and forth in what has been long negotiations Hearts have finally reached an agreement with the Wonder Club for a fee that converts to GHC 90,400.

The Double Champions are few steps away from completing what would be their third signing after already agreeing on personal terms with the former TP Matzembe man.

Olympics initially demanded $20,000 from the reigning Ghana Premier League Champions but has now accepted the latter’s offer for the player whose contract runs out in October.

Gladson Awako is now subject to medicals before penning a two year deal with the Phobians until 2023.

According to Oyerepa FM, Awako visited Olympics Board Chairman, His Excellency Amarkai Amarteifio at his residence in East Legon to receive blessings on the move.

‘’Yes I have met him, I blessed him and I wish Hearts of Oak well in their campaign” Amarkai Amartefio told Oyerepa FM.
