Let’s settle the scores and have one boxing king in Ga Land- Silver Boxing Promoter

The promoter of Silver Black Promotions Daniel Ablorh has stated the ‘Kings Belt’ will settle the scores once and for all as to who is the real king of Ga on the 27th of August at 6pm at the Osu Salem Park.

The boxing night will feature two big boxing personalities in amateur boxing, namely local champion Carl Lokko aka OsuLion, who is from a royal home in Osu, and a local champion from Ga Mashie Benjamin Atiaku aka OneBlow who is enstooled as a youth king and Asafoatse of Bortianor.

This is the second time the two pugilists would be on the canvas to do battle. The first fight was declared a draw of which both set of fans expressed disappointments to the judges decision.

Silver Black Promotions believes the fight will settle the rivalry between the two boxers.

“The rivalry between Osu vs Ga Mashie has been there for a while,” CEO of Silver Star Promotions Daniel Ablorh said, adding that, “They fought once and it was a draw. It is time for final settlement. It is time to have just one King for the whole Ga land. Silver Black Promotions felt it will be better to do it during the Homowo Festival”.

At the studios of Starr Fm, the two boxers ranted. According to OsuLion, He can not lose on Osu land. Moreover, he said he wants to take Osu to the next level in boxing.

“No oo I can not lose in Osu Land. I want to make Osu proud. I want to take Osu to the next level in boxing”. OneBlow is a chicken in a light soup. We go chop am. He is an empty barrel. I will knock him out in round 2. Infact I will change his name to Ayorkor. I want to ask him if he has seen a bomb hitting Baghdad before, that is the strength of my blow, prepare”.

On the other hand, “OneBlow showed he is also a good parrot. He said, “This time around I am not coming to joke. We should let the past remain in the past. I am coming to prove to my people that I am the king. Osu Lion  should not come and fight like a fisherman. No we are not going on fishing. It is about jabs. What I want him to know is, there is nothing like back pass in boxing. It is not football. My training is my medicine. My boss Shatta Wale is solidly behind me. I will make him and all the Shatta Movement proud. Round 3 finish”.

Meanwhile, Daniel Ablorh, promoter of Silver Black Promotions is of the view that there are thousands of talents in Ghana like 2021 Olympic bronze medalist Samuel Takyi, who need platforms like the one he is offering to gain exposure. “So if the government and corporate Ghana could help promote the sports it will help. He believes Samuel Takyi must be rewarded very well for winning a medal for Ghana at the just ended Tokyo Olympic Games to motivate the youth who have interest in boxing.

On the business side of boxing, he said there is a lot of money in boxing to extend that for once in the history of Ghana a boxer won a world title and borrowed the nation money. He thinks the economy is stack and nothing is happening so investments has to be diversified.
“Boxing is for blacks. Money came into boxing because of people like Don King. He was a smart guy. The first ten million dollars in boxing came from Africa. This guy realised if he wants to deal with the whites, he would not get this kind of returns. He was so smart he came to Africa to make that money. Can you imagine one boxer bringing ten billion dollars into our economy. This economy is stack. Let us release ourselves. We might not know what will bring billions of dollars into the country. So I believe people should invest into boxing and we will make billions”.

The two boxers thanked Silver Black Promotions for giving them the big stage to showcase their talents and also Starr FM for giving them audience.

Daniel Ablorh urged the media and journalist to help in the campaign of promoting boxing in Ghana.

Other bouts on the night will be between Melton vs Canelo, Sarah vs Osuman, Enoch vs Sampson and GuyGuy vs Iron Man.
