NGO donate sneakers to Tema Community 4 Basketball Club

Tema Community 4 Basketball Club has received sneakers presented to them from Free The Youth Group, Ghana.

The benevolent gesture was made by the Non Governmental Organization (NGO) recently ahead of the team’s friendly game at the Tema Community 4 Court popularly known as the Chinese Court.

This comes at a time the team is engaged in playing friendly games ahead of the 2022 Basketball League season after the 2020-2021 season was largely disrupted by the COVID 19 pandemic.

The sneakers from the Jordan Brand were presented to members of the team including Nii Moi; Community won the 2017 Tema Basketball League by beating Ashaiman Lions in the finals.

Jonathan Coffie, Richard Kweku Ormano, Winfred Mensah and Kelly Foli are among Free The Youth’s prominent members that aims to empower young Ghanaian individuals in the creative industry including fashion and sports.

Tema Community is preparing to play Tema Heat on Sunday, February 6 at the Chinese Court at 17:30 GMT in another friendly game.
