NPC Ghana donate 10 wheelchairs to Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of Ghana

The National Paralympic Committee of Ghana yesterday made a donation of 10 wheelchairs to the Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of Ghana.

The organisation is the sole body mandated under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the National Sports Authority and the NPC Ghana to develop Cerebral Palsy Sports in the county.

The Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation
collaborate fully with the NPC-Ghana to bring change into the lives of persons with impairment in the country.

The presentation of the wheelchairs was done by NPC Ghana Secretary General, Mr Peter Adjei and Board member Mr Philip Otuo.

Mad. Anne Doe – President (Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of Ghana and Cerebral Palsy Football Federation of Ghana) received the items on behalf of the organisation and thanked the NPC Ghana for the kind gesture.

Other members present were Samson Dzivor – Ambassador for Cerebral Palsy Sports in Ghana, Collins Zoiku – SG of the Cerebral Palsy Sports Federation of Ghana together with the Vice President, Edem.

The NPC Ghana made similar donations of 20 wheelchairs to KABAKA Foundation a fortnight ago and talks have been initiated to make similar donations to Special Olympics body, the last donation.

The wheelchairs were donated from Japan by two entities namely, Wheelchairs of Hope Foundation and The Volunteers Group to send Wheelchairs to Africa

These two entities are in Japan and the liaison officer who spearheaded on the Japan side is by name Fabio Akiyoshi
