Super sub Emmanuel Yeboah named man of the match in Ghana win over Congo

Substitute Emmanuel Yeboah was named as the Man of the Match after Ghana’s 3-2 win over Congo in their 2023 TotalEnergies U23 African Cup of Nations game played on Sunday.

The forward scored two goals and gave an assist all in the second half of the Group A match which was played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.

Yeboah’s spirited second half performance in the second half was vital in Ghana’s slim win.

After receiving his Man of the Match plaque from the organizers of the competition, Yeboah attributed his performance to hard work and thanked his team mates for their support.

“I achieved this by handwork and I want to thank my teammates for the support that gave me on the pitch”, he said at the pre- match press conference.

The Black Meteors are top of Group A with three points, same as their next opponents Morocco who beat Guinea 2-1 on Saturday.

Ghana will face Morocco at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Tuesday, June 27.
