Rev. Adesah heads new 7-member Amputee management committee

The Ghana Paralympic Committee (GPC) has formed a seven-member committee to run the national amputee football team, the Black Challenge.

A statement signed and issued by Ignatius Elletey, General Secretary of GPC, said the seven-member committee will be headed by Rev. Richard Nii Amartey Adesah, with James Adjetey Adjei and Kuuku Dzanie.

It added that, Abu Issah Monnie, Theodore Viwortor, Kofi Ayew and Wisdom Yamenui makes up the seven member committee.

According to the statement, the committee has been tasked with the immediate responsibility of preparing the team for Amputee World Cup in Mexico, later in the year.

The committee according to the statement is to raise funds from the corporate world to facilitate the participation of the team in the World Cup.

The statement expressed the hope that, the newly formed committee will ensure the successful participation of the team in the competition.

The Amputee Football team, has gone been battling with managerial issues in recent times.

This compelled the leadership of the GPC to dissolve the management committee headed by Francis Adjetey Sowah.
