The Minister of Education Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang officially opened the 24th edition of Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) games yesterday at University of Education, Winneba.
The theme for the occasion “Developing and Sustaining Sporting talents for Ghana” was lauded by the minister as appropriate for the competition since university sports help unearth talents for the country.
According to the minister, government will continue to provide support for the development of university sports in Ghana.
The introduction of goal ball game by GUSA was something the Minister found personally touching since it was in line with government policy on inclusiveness.
