Accra Basketball League start COVID 19 Vaccination

Prior to the commencement of the 2021 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Season, a vaccination exercise against COVID 19 is scheduled to commence today.

The program is expected to start today July 1 and end on Saturday, July 2 at the Lebanon House in Tudu, Accra; players and all direct stakeholders in the league are expected to get vaccinated.

Players who do not vaccinate won’t be allowed to compete in the upcoming season’s competition per information reaching the media.

A recognized valid Identification Card is needed by all personnel who wish to get vaccinated; the program is to ensure the health safety of all persons is guaranteed against the deadly virus.

Like other countries and sports league in the world, Ghana and the Accra Basketball League suffered because of COVID 19. The 2020 season was lost to the virus as a ban on participation in contact sports was placed.

However, such restrictions have been eased and the league plans to play out the 2021 campaign across all three divisions in the league.
