Two Ghanaian Cycling officials secure top positions at UCI

The Ghana Cycling Federation Mohammed Sahnoon Esq. and the Technical Director Shaaban Mohammed have been elevated to the apex Cycling body – Union Cycling International, UCI.

Mohammed Sahnoon Esq. has been reappointed onto the UCI Disciplinary Commission and the UCI Arbitral Board.

The appointment is valid until the management Committee meeting that follows the UCI Congress in 2025.

The affable Cycling capo is expected to be appointed again into the UCI Disciplinary Commission and the UCI Arbitral Board.

In a related development, the Technical Director Shaaban Mohammed has also been appointed onto the Paracycling Commission under the UCI.

The Paracycling Commission is chaired by Moroccan Mohammed Ben Al Mahi together with the nine member Team with Shaaban being the only Ghanaian and two Africans on the the commission.

The latest developments has a positive implication on the Federation as we seek to develop the Sport to its highest level.

Mohammed Sahnoon Esq is currently an established legal practitioner and the Secretary General of the Ghana Olympic Committee – GOC. He again holds the position as the Head of Legal at the confederation of African Cycling – CAC.

Shaaban Mohammed, is currently  the Technical Director of the Ghana Cycling Federation, President of Africa Para-Cycling Commission and the Operations Manager of the Ghana Olympic Committee – GOC.
