Mubarak Wakaso reunites with old Villarreal pal Santi Carzola in Qatar

Free agent Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso reunited with his former Villareal teammate Santi Carzola during a private visit in Qatar.

The two former Villareal stars enjoyed each others company in the gulf when they met at Al Sadd training session.

The two played in the La Liga for the Yellow Submarine before they both departed the club.

Wakaso has been in Qatar visiting best friend and close pal Andre Ayew and took the opportunity to watch Al Sadd training session in Doha.

“Old friends convo, Santi,” Mubarak Wakaso captioned the photo posted on Facebook.

Wakaso and Carzola shared the pitch together in the jerseys of the Yellow Submarines in 2011, before the former Spain midfielder left for Malaga.

Santi Carzola is revered at Villareal, having had three spells with the club while Wakaso’s one senior season at the club showcased him to Spanish football.
