Portuguese club Braga announce signing of Ghanaian teenager Pierre Dwomoh

Belgium-born Ghanaian teenager Pierre Dwomoh has moved to Portuguese Primeira Liga side SC Braga on loan, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm

The 18-year-old central midfielder has joined Braga on a season-long loan from Belgian club Royal Antwerp until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Braga have an option to sign the highly-rated youngster for a fee around €1 million when the loan expires in June next year.

The central midfielder played 14 games last season: nine in the Belgian top-tier League, one in the Belgian Cup and four in the UEFA Europa League.

Dwomoh signed for Antwerp in August 2021 after joining from KRC Genk in the deal which was worth around €2 million.

He has previously been through the youth ranks at KV Mechelen, Anderlecht and Genk.

The young Belgian is seen as one of his country’s biggest promises having represented at the U15, U17 and U18 levels where he made a combined 12 appearances with 3 goals.

Dwomoh is eligible to represent Ghana internationally at the senior level.
