8th edition of Ramadan Cup launched in Accra

The 8th edition of the Ramadan cup has duly  been launched at the Kempinski Hotel as this year’s edition looks to be an exciting one.

Tamimu Issah, Founder of the Ramadan Cup stated that “ The reason behind this competition is to foster togetherness between communities all over the country.

“ We are looking forward to  make this tournament a global competition in future.”

The launch was graced by the Honurable Minister of Sports  Mustapha  Ussif, he made key assertions during the launch.

“Ramadan cup is a community football that brings people together and brings cohesion between communities.

“The values of the MOYS is to promote togetherness and promote  football at the community level, and that is the aim and goals  of the Ramadan cup as well.”

Ibrahim Tanko, Head coach of the Black Satellite at the ceremony said that,  “ This competition has birthed many talent,  I have personally scouted many talents in the previous editions. I hope  this year’s edition will be greater.”

This year’s edition of the competition will have international  scouts  all over the world to identify potential talent.

The Ramadan cup will be played on the 29th -30th April,2023 at the Fadama Astro Turf.
