The 2023 MTN Ashantifest Community Soccer tournament entered the last four at the weekend, with debutants Ejisu and the highly rated Santasi beating Kwadaso and Dichemso respectively, both over the dreaded penalty shootout after scoring stalemates.

Ejisu, the first team from outside Kumasi to play in this competition since its inception in 2021, saw off Kwadaso 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the first semi final last Friday at the Dichemso Otumfuo Park.

In the second last four tie at same venue, same day, Santasi who previously held the only 100% record in this year’s tournament, failed to maintain the norm as hosts Dichemso forced a 3-3 scoreline in regulation time but ensured they will battle for the ultimate trophy with a 4-3 win in the shootout.

Ahead of the final this Sunday, 30 July at the same Dichemso Otumfuo Park, preceded by the third place playoff, below are some photos from the two semi final battles:
