Danish side, FC Nordsjaelland have turned down the initial offer from French Ligue 1 side, Stade Reims for the highly talented Ghanaian winger, Ernest Nuamah.
Nuamah, a sought-after forward, has captured the attention of numerous European clubs, with Reims and Ajax being at the forefront of the race to secure his services.
Presenting their opening bid at €18 million, the French Ligue 1 side saw their proposal rejected by the leaders of the Danish Superliga.
FC Nordsjaelland is holding out for a sum slightly surpassing €20 million Euros, approximately equivalent to 150-200 million Danish Kroner, reflecting their valuation of this promising young player.
If this price is met, it would set a new transfer record for FC Nordsjaelland, surpassing the previous benchmark set by Kamladeen Sulemana, another Ghanaian talent who moved to Stade Rennes in 2021 for €20 million Euros.
Meanwhile, the famed Dutch club Ajax has not yet put forth an official offer for the 19-year-old, even as interest in the dynamic winger extends to a Premier League team as well.
Nuamah’s campaign in the Danish Superliga has kicked off impressively, having netted four goals and contributed an assist in just three matches. This outstanding performance led to him being named both the Player of the Month and the Young Player for July, a testament to his scintillating start to the season.
