Osimhen, Chukwueze join as Super Eagles in camp now up to 21 for Ghana clash

More players have joined the Super Eagles of Nigeria camp ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup play off double header against the Black Stars of Ghana

Preparation continues with the latest arrivals, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze and Porto left-back Zaidu Sanusi.

A statement on the official Twitter account of the Super Eagles gave an update of 21 players now in camp.

According to the post, Osimhen is with the team and already participating in gym activities.

It said: “Victor Osimhen is here. 21 players in camp…Ekong, Balogun, Ajayi, Aina, Onyeka, Ighalo, Akpeyi, Musa, Etebo, Iheanacho, Abdullahi, Uzoho, Simon, Dennis, Aribo, Bassey, Bonke, Omeruo, Sanusi, Chukwueze, Osimhen.”

The Super Eagles as expected held their first training session for the game against Ghana on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

It is also expected that all invited players will show up today as preparation continues for the game.
