Ghana Tennis Club honour Ayer Hanson

One of Ghana’s dynamic tennis clubs, Ghana Tennis Club (GTC) based in Adabraka, Accra havs honoured Emmanuel Ayer Hanson for his selfless dedication to the club and named the centre court after him at the club end-of-year party held at The Pavilion, the clubhouse in Adabraka.

Mr. Ayer Hanson is one of the founding members of the club and  has been contributing to the development of the club in diverse ways.

Speaking to ghanatennis.org, Chairman of GTC, Joseph Nii Armah said, the decision to honour club patron Ayer Hanson and name the centre court after him was necessary to open up the club to more development options and in the spirit of appreciation to help increase opportunities available to the club to grow.

It is also to serve as motivation for other members and even non-members of the club to support its forward march, he explained.

The past executives of the club were also acknowledged for their contributions to the development and infrastructural upgrade of the club lately. The presentation of the awards was to encourage them to do even more and help reorganise the club.

Ghana Tennis Club recently upgraded its four clay courts to meet international standards and is renovating and expanding the clubhouse, which is 50 percent complete, as part of giving the club a new face and making it the most attractive in Ghana.
