Ada Assurance, Layoca maintain joint lead atop Ghana Beach Soccer League

Layoca and Ada Assurance maintained their spots in the ongoing Beach Soccer League following empathic victories in their respective matches.

Layoca continued their impressive opening to the League with an top class performance to beat Sea Sharks 2-0 in their Matchday 4 encounter on Saturday. The leaders went into the game hoping to keep hold of their unbeaten run – to stretch the lead at the top of the Zone One table. Two stunning second goals ensured they came out of the tie unscathed to take their points tally to 12 points – 3 points richer than second placed Cheetah Beach Soccer Club.

In Zone Two – leaders Ada Assurance dropped points on Sunday as they were held 2-2 by Vodza Iron Breakers. The keenly contested encounter was full of fireworks with the Vodza lads fighting for the points. With both sides pressing for victory, Ada Assurance dug deep to pick a point from the jaws of their opponents as the tie ended 2-2 in a four goal thriller.
