2021 Odwira Beach Soccer Cup get Gh10k sponsorship from William Investment

The Ghana Beach Soccer Federation have secured a sponsorship package worth GHS10,000 for the upcoming Odwira Beach Soccer Cup from Pura Vida. The deal which is expected to lessen the financial burden of the organisation of the competition comes with products worth GHS5,000 and a cash component of GHS5,000 for the 3-day event.

The event dubbed ‘2021 Odwira Beach Soccer Cup’ takes centre stage from Tuesday 14th to Saturday 16th October, 2021 at Asenema Waterfalls in the Eastern region. The event which will see 20 teams in the mountainous region competing for the virgin trophy forms part of activities to commemorate the Odwira festival and also facilitate the development of the beach soccer sport beyond the shores of the coastal belt.

The President of Ghana Beach Soccer Federation, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah expressed delight in the gesture.

“We are delighted to have this sponsorship to support the Odwira Beach Soccer Cup. This gesture is a sign of the company’s desire to help develop the youth and the game in Ghana. We are determined to develop the youth through this sport.”

“William Investment has been of tremendous help with their support of cash and the products which will go a long way helping the players of the competition and we hope to have a long-lasting relationship with the main league.”

With this deal signifying the beginning of the relationship between beach soccer and Pura Vida, the Company is relishing to come on board to sponsor beach soccer league long term when the competition returns fully.

Meanwhile, the Marketing Manager of Pura Vida, John Kudadji says ‘the vision of the company falls in line with the tenets of sports hence the decision.’

The 2021 Odwira Beach Soccer Cup is anticipated to be an annual event to help develop the sporting interest of the youth in the Eastern region.
