Former Hearts star Thomas Abbey rejoins ‘boyhood’ club in Division One League

Former Accra Hearts Of Oak talisman, Thomas Abbey has rejoined his boyhood club Soccer Intellectuals on a short contract until the end of this season.

The Division One debutants have had a patchy campaign languishing third from the bottom of the Zone Two log with a paltry 13 points after the first stanza of the season.

Managers of the team are busy on the local transfer market to beef up squad with some experience legs before the commencement of the second half of the season.

It can be confirmed that the former Hearts of Oak darling boy has signed a contract with the “Soccer masters” till the end of the season.Ex Secondi Hasaacas stalwart Defender Augustine Arhinful has signed for Intellectuals on a short loan.

The duo were spotted training with the team at the Ajumako Eduyaw Assasan park this morning.The inclusion of the two are expected to help improve the fortunes of the club and to maintain their DOL status.

Abbey spent 5 years at Intellectuals(2000-2005)as a juvenile player before switching camp to rivals Windy Professionals and then joining the phobians in the 2010-11 Season.
