The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) President, Dr Patrice Motsepe today began his two-day working visit in Angola and met the Sport Minister, Rui Falcão, Angolan Football Federation President, Artur de Almeida e Silva and Football stakeholders in the country.
On Saturday, 13 April 2024, the CAF President will meet Angola Head of State, President JoãoLourenço in the morning.
Dr Motsepe is accompanied by CAF General Secretary, Veron Mosengo-Omba. This week, they have visited four countries: São Tomé and Príncipe, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau and Morocco.
Dr Motsepe spent Friday meeting with many different stakeholders including the Executive Committee of Angolan Football Federation and football leadership in the country, Football Clubs and the Business Community where he spoke about the importance of partnerships.
Earlier on Friday, Dr Motsepe met Angola Sport Minister Rui Falcão in Luanda. Dr Motsepe thanked him for his passion and commitment in developing Football in Angola.
Minister Falcão said: “To have the President of CAF here is a big event for Angola. You (President Motsepe) are a new face. You are trying to do something different for Africa. We appreciate that.”
At 12h00 local time on Saturday, Dr Motsepe will hold a Press Conference at Epic Sana Luanda.
